Hair growth after Chemo – Timeline with images My hair growth after chemo in a timeline with images "Your hair is growing so fast! What have you been doing? I've been getting this question a lot on my DMs on Instagram so I thought I'd share the things that they've worked for me here on a blog to facilitate the exchange. I was in July 2019 and my treatment plan required me to have 16 rounds of chemotherapy that would make me lose my hair. I was so devastated by that, and I'm so glad she's growing up now. Here is the full story of , losing all my hair, and growing again. 16 Chemo roundsOn September 5, 2019 I had my first dose of chemotherapy. I was prescribed 16 rounds of chemotherapy together and 4 of those rounds would be hard drugs Adriamicina and Cytoxan. The adrimycin is nicknamed "The Red Devil." It's the strongest chemotherapy medication you can get. It attacks rapidly growing cells in your body to kill the cancerous tumor, but that also means it kills your beautiful hair. This part of the cancer journey is one of the most difficult to pass. Only 18 short days after the first round of chemoes my hair fell to pieces. I knew it was going to happen, but it was still difficult. On September 23rd I . I used this time to play with and have any kind of hair I wanted; pink, blue, rainbow, or long blonde like the old me. I started pairing my hair in my mood or by which one was better in my suit. It was the perfect time to try the colorful hair. He was my favorite and everyone always congratulated me. They were surprised when I told them it was a wig! 🙂 So I did as much as possible and kept it as fun as possible. You have to do whatever you need to keep things fun during this time. It's super easy to get, so do what makes you feel good. Some women feel more empowered when they rock a bald head. If it's you, then go for it! I found that being bald wasn't for me. I was cold, it made me feel worse about myself, and I felt very meek. Being a very feminine woman, I felt safer to have some kind of hair. This is a personal preference, and I've seen it work in both ways. There's no right or wrong way. Do what makes you feel better during this time! Hair growth after Chemo In December 2019 my hair started to sprout. I was a little surprised when I saw him one day since they still treated me with chemotherapy. I had been transferred to a medicine called Taxol that normally causes hair loss as well, but not as much as Adriamicin. On 13 December I graduated from Mr. Clean to the stage of Chia Pet. If you look closely, you can see my peach. 🙂 Growth of stimulating hair after Chemo I was very excited just to see a bit of broth or two. As soon as I saw growth, I started taking supplements to stimulate my hair growth after the chemo and help it. Some friends suggested collagen, but collagen comes from animals. Since my diagnosis, I have tried to reduce animal food where I can due to medical reasons. I looked for vegan collagen and realized that it didn't exist. What DID exists was the organic collagen support. I started using what stimulates your own collagen production naturally. It has 13 powerful superfoods that hydrate the skin, build collagen and repair the DNA. It also helped hydrate my skin and return to normal after the chemo dried me so it was a win/win. If you want to try it for yourself, you can save 15% of your purchase with discount code: KAMELIA. I took 1 spoon a day every morning. On December 19, I started using my little shoots. There wasn't much shampoo hair or condition at first, so I'd use more of the spray and the one to start. Once my hair came a little longer, I used the shampoo and conditioner, leaving it on for a while in the shower before rinsing it. Monat products are clean and are made of 13 natural plants and essential oils rich in omega fatty acids and antioxidants. My last round of chemotherapy was January 18, 2020. Just over a month later, he had some hair, even though he had still been in chemo all month! Here's a photo of January 22, 2020. I called this phase of "The Young handsome Man". hehe 🙂 Now that I was made with chemo I was allowed to have more green and antioxidants so I started drinking every day. Your hair is a direct reflection of how nourished your body is. When you're full of vitamins and nutrients, it grows much faster. Organized green juice has on it and 10 other superfoods to support your immune system and help stimulate hair growth after chemo. You can use the KAMELIA discount code for 15% discount of this too. On March 1, my hair was coming even further. He moved to the mini pixie phase. It's when I added my regiment. I took two of these a day. It also started to grow much faster now that he was no longer receiving chemotherapy. My eyebrows and eyelashes were also beginning to grow around this time. I was still wearing tab strips for a while because my own tabs turned unevenly for a little. I was finally starting to feel a little more feminine again what was nice. 🙂 1 April, it was a little more. On 1 May, it was even longer and had to cut a little to keep a shape. June 1, I saw a great new growth and started researching when I could get extensions. In July 2020, my hair was finally long enough to get extensions, and I was so excited! Everyone loved my hair being short, but I never felt like me. I love and accept myself as I am and I am especially grateful to be alive. But I really missed having the hairstyle I was used to, and I was tired of wearing wigs. In July 2020, my good friend worked his magic and made me feel like me again with a complete set of hair extensions! He's been doing extensions for more than 20 years and he even teaches classes on him, so he knew he could trust her to do an amazing job. She made a more natural look and as you can see below, I am delighted with the results!!! I feel like this is the next phase of recovering my life. It's been such a long way and I'm so grateful to feel like me again. If you are looking for someone to help you with extensions, you can call or send a message to Michelle at 858-333-9006. She's here in San Diego, but she can travel to you wherever you are in the world. I'm going to write a blog post all about getting extensions soon, so send me a message on Instagram if you have any questions and I'll add them to the post! 52 Photos Capturing the triumph of this woman over breast cancer These images show how devastating chemotherapy can be, but also how resilient many of us are to cancer. Health and well-being touch us differently. This is a person's story. Trying to maintain some sense of normality is important for many people with. So it makes sense that some people find hair loss that often comes with annoying treatments. Eileen Posner, a cancer survivor who lost all her hair to chemotherapy, kept a one-year photo diary showing her changing appearance as she passed through recovery. A 41-year-old mother, Posner had long, fluid locks before being diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. It is boiled as a result of its life-saving chemotherapy treatment. In total, he had 6 doses of chemotherapy between January and April 2017, as well as 28 doses of radiation therapy and a double mastectomy to remove a mass in his left chest. Chemotherapy kills cancer cells but also affects the cells of the root of the hair, which resulted in Posner's head hair, eyelashes and eyebrows falling. "I expected to be the only person who didn't lose his hair and didn't fall until after my second dose, but then fell into lumps. "Losing my hair to chemo was much more traumatic than losing my breasts to cancer," he says, pointing out that strangers gave it a pity look every time I went out in public." When you don't have hair, everyone knows what you're going through. I have this aspect of compassion—no one knows how to talk to you. That was the hardest part — to reduce me to my diagnosis," says Posner. Six weeks after their last chemotherapy session, the first hair tufts started to reappear in their head. Posner decided to document the progress his hair made during treatment, and then recovery. "I took my first picture a week after chemotherapy because it was very important that I document that year and show myself that I was getting better—it looked better," he says. While the growth was slow at first, the images show your mop brunette that it becomes more full as it happens every week. In her final picture, she poses with a head full of hair. She put the 52 images together in a video mount to show her trip, that she expects to help others who are also fighting the disease. Eileen was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2016 after her son, Declan, then 3, shot on her chest and experienced acute pain. "My breasts were there to feed my babies, they were like elbows. I didn't pay attention," he says. Posner, who says she's been feeling 100 percent again, adds: "When I heard the words "big cancer," mortality washed me. All I could think was to leave my children without a mother and leave my husband without a wife. " Try to instill hope in anyone who is receiving treatment or struggling with recovery. "I hope that anyone who is in the middle of treatment can see this and see things improve." Speaking of post-treatment life, he adds, "It will not be the same, but you get better. You will have a renewed sense of who you are and perhaps even find the new you." Read this now.
