If you desperately need a bottle of water at 3am, well, you have no choice but to buy one at 7-Eleven unless you have a 24 hour price near you. But you should know that you would be paying almost 3 times the price of a regular Ice Mountain to 7-Eleven from what you would do at NTUC. Obviously, anyone who makes his weekly grocery in 7-Eleven could also clean his homeless with $2 notes while he's in it. But not all in 7-Eleven is a bad deal. Here are 5 items that really offer good value for money in 7-11. 7-Eleven sandwiches (~$3.50)If you need a quick meal but don't have time to actually sit for one, the 7-Eleven sandwiches offer a relatively cheap way to fill your stomach in the march. Its sandwiches cost about $3.50 for a package of two sandwiches, which is quite packed. Although it is not exactly the work of a gourmet chef, they know decent enough for a person who dies of hunger. On the contrary, most supermarkets don't even sell sandwiches ready to eat. Although it could be cheaper for DIY your own processed cheese and ham sandwich with the Gardenia bread, it is quite difficult to recreate the flavors of the fans that can be found in the selected outlets, such as the prairie " broccoli and the Japanese style pork katsu + cabbage. While the 7-Eleven sandwiches are in no way cheap dirt, they are one of the cheapest meals that can be found anywhere. Biryani butter chicken ($3.90)Small and large portion of size, there is no way that pre-packed biryani can compete with the regular and hot spicy version in your favorite. But did you know that 7-Eleven chicken biryani has a lower cult after? My MoneySmart colleagues have been known to eat this for lunch, for their own will! Serving in a dented portion, this is a kind of biryani-lite – less greasy, less spicy, less coma food than a regular full size biryani. However, hit the place if you have an Indian food craving. At $3.90, it is even cheaper than some famous biryani places like Bismillah Biryani too (although the portion is much smaller). Hanjuku eggs ($2.50 for 2) Another 7-Eleven product with a fan that follows is Hanjuku's eggs, which are perfectly cooked onsen-style eggs. This is great if you are looking for a post-workout snack or if you want to add some protein to your cup noodles. Although $2.50 for 2 eggs is pretty steep for eggs (which are like $0.20 each in the supermarket), I don't think there is any other place that can get this specific style of eggs in Singapore, apart from the sponsorship of one. The closest thing is to this is Seng Choon instant eggs, which are cheaper in . But they are rubber and nasty, so I don't think there is competition. 7-Eleven coffee (~$2)7-Eleven coffee (~$2) Breathe a little Western-style coffee but aren't about to bomb $6 for a flat target made by hipsters? The 7-Eleven coffee could do the trick. They claim that the coffee line is gourmet and is made using 100% Arabica beans. With flavors like long black, latte, mocha and cappuccino on offer, most coffee drinkers will find their beer of choice. Whatever the taste, the price (usually $2 or less for a hot coffee) hits even McCafe, to say no. Alcohol (3.50 to $5.90)Alcohol (3.50 to $5.90) Unless you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you must have pre-played at 7-Eleven before hitting the clubs at least once in your youth. Sadly, it is quite difficult to get your hands on a Big Gulp – the perfect mixer for those Absolut Vodka miniature bottles – more.*shakes fist in 7-Eleven* But surprisingly, he has some affordable beers in the refrigerator. For example, this limited edition Asahi Sakura ($3.50) is not too expensive for a single can of beer. You can get Asahi regular for less than $3 / can if you get a , but is it blossom-flavoured? I don't think so. (FYI – despite all the rose, your ABV is a 5% standard.) If wasted is your top priority, then this 7-Eleven brand "ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE" is a $5.90 robbery for an ABV 9% drink. The smartest alcohol to drink is just 3% to 5% ABV, while an extra strong drink like this (also 9%) will pay you $8.50. What are your favorite 7-Eleven shopping?
